4 Ingredients Baked Tofu

This 4 ingredients baked tofu always enhances my rice or noodle recipes as it tastes so delicious and looks really appetising as well. I tried this for the first time When I made soba noodles with roasted goodies last Summer. I was very impressed with the flavour and how easy it is to make the baked tofu. So this has been one of my favourite recipes since then.

I used to marinate tofu in the similar way but always fried in some oil in a frying pan. Because tofu sticks to the pan I ended up adding more oil while cooking. However, you only need 1 table spoon of oil for this recipe so they are not so much oily but super delicious!

How to make 4 Ingredients Baked Tofu
  1. Cut the tofu into cubes. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, garlic puree and vinegar together and put the tofu cubes in. Using a spoon, gently move the tofu around to coat with the sauce. Leave to marinate the tofu for 15 minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 220°C (gas mark 7). Prepare a baking tray lined with baking paper greased with the oil.
  3. Place the marinated tofu on the prepared baking tray and bake for 25 minutes or until browned. Don’t forget to turn over halfway through the cooking!
  4. Best serve on the same day but if you have the leftover, keep in an airtight container in the fridge and reheat in a microwave.

Easy and delicious baked tofu recipe. It goes really well with rice or noodles!

Ingredients
  

  • 200 g Firm Tofu not silken tofu
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic puree use minced garlic as a replacement
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp oil for baking

Instructions

Leave to marinate the tofu for 15 minutes. I left them for 7 minutes, then turn over with a spoon, leave for another 8 minutes.
