  • 60 ml Soya milk Or any other dairy free milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract

  • 120 g Chickpea flour
  • 25 g Corn flour
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 100 g Vegan chocolate chips Or crushed vegan chocolate (I used this)

  • Preheat the oven to 180°/350°F and line or lightly grease a loaf tin. Set aside.
  • Mash the bananas in a bowl and stir in the oil, soya milk and vanilla extract until fully combined. stir in the sugar.
  • Add the chickpea flour, corn flour, baking powder and cinnamon to the banana mixture. Stir until everything is fully incorporated with no lumps.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf tin and smooth the top with a spoon to make it even. Bake for 40 - 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean. Let it cool in the loaf tin before removing and transferring to a wire rack to continue cooling.

As this banana bread is not super sweet, please feel free to add more sugar or sweetener to the recipe if you have a craving for very sweet dessert.
In my opinion this banana bread taste better when it's completely cooled because the chocolate chips harden so that you can enjoy the combination of crunchiness of them and the softness of the cake.
