BRAN FLAKES AND OATMEAL CHOCOLATE BITES

These no bake chocolate bites made with bran flakes and oats are satisfyingly chocolatey but not overly rich. Enjoy the delicious treat packed with some goodies from the cereals!

Ingredients
  

  • 105 g Rolled oats
  • a handful Dry fruits I used sultanas and chopped apricots
  • 30 g Branflakes Crushed or use some from the bottom of the box
  • 2 tbsp Golden syrup
  • 20 g Coconut oil
  • 50 g Vegan chocolate I used 85% dark chocolate

The chocolate topping

  • 10 g Coconut oil
  • 30 g Vegan chocolate

Instructions
 

  • Line a 8×4 inch loaf tin with parchment paper or cooking foil. This make it easier to take out the cereal bar from the tin when it's done.
  • In a bowl, crush the bran flakes into very tiny bits and mix with the rolled oats and dry fruits.
  • In a separate bowl, melt the chocolate with the golden syrup and coconut oil in the microwave.
  • Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the cereal mixture and combine well with a spoon.Put the mixture in the prepared tin and press firmly from the top with your hand. Allow to chill in the fridge for at least one hour.

Chocolate topping

  • Melt the chocolate and coconut oil in a bowl in the microwave. Take the chilled cereal bar out of the fridge and pour the melted chocolate over the top.
  • Put back in the fridge and allow the chocolate to set for a while. Cut into bite size and enjoy!

Notes

The leftovers will keep in an airtight container in the fridge up to 7 days.
